Ziggy Games is a set of free games you play in the browser. There are no accounts, no ads and nothing for sale. This page covers everything the site keeps, and why.
Visit counting
We use Google Analytics to count visits, so we can see which games get played and fix what doesn't work. It uses a cookie that holds a random number, and it sees the rough location (country and city) and the kind of device and browser. It never gets a name or anything typed into a game. To block it, turn on your browser's tracking protection or use an ad blocker. The games work the same either way.
Saved in your browser
The games keep their settings, best scores and progress in this browser's local storage: sound on or off, which controls you like, your best rounds, and the last name you typed into the golf scoreboard so you don't have to type it again. That stays on your device and isn't sent to us. To clear it, clear this site's data in your browser's settings.
The Ziggy Golf scoreboard
At the end of a round of Ziggy Golf you can save your score under a name. Saving is up to you, and skipping it changes nothing about the game.
When you save, we keep the name you typed, your score on each hole, the course, which character you played and the date. The name and score show on the public scoreboard for that course, so anyone playing can see them.
Please use a first name or a nickname, never a full name. A name can only be one word of letters and numbers, and a word filter turns away rude ones.
To keep anyone from flooding the board, the server keeps a scrambled code made from your internet address for one hour, then deletes it. The code can't be turned back into the address.
To have a score taken off the board, contact us with the name, the course and the day it was saved, and we'll remove it.
Kids
Ziggy Games is made for everyone, kids included. If a young player wants to save a golf score, help them pick a nickname.
Fonts
Some pages load their lettering from Google Fonts, which sees your internet address when it sends the font files.
